Playdough
I have fallen in love with homemade play-dough. like IN LOVE. its way better than the store boughten stuff. Way better. Pre pare to be blown away. ok, maybe not that intense but ya know..its pretty cool.
Home Made Play-dough:
2 c. flour
2tblsp cream of tarter
1/2c. salt
2c. water
2 tblsp canola oil
food coloring
In sauce pan combine 1st 3 ingredients, gradually add next 2. cook and stir over medium heat for 3 to 5 min. until ball forms...or until you think you pretty much completely ruined it and are gonna have to throw it away..thats normally when i pull it off the stove, and it turns out just right ;)cool. divide, i normally divide it in half and do 2 colors. i add the dye in ziplock baggies to prevent my hands from getting dyed. store in air tight containers. fall in love. play.
or you can do what my kids do and sample some..eewwww......
But they wont eat my cooking...enough said.
and lastly, try not to be to mad at me when its time to clean it all up...cause you know, for some reason just cause its home made doesn't make it any easier.....

What i have been up to lately...
Being a Mom, its my responsibility to teach my children responsibility. On that never ending quest. I have come up with this chore chart of sorts. Because, my daughter can not read above kindergarten level, the PEC system has inspired me. A chore chart i do not have to follow her around with, and to teach her independence. It is working really well so far!
when she is finished with a chore she can put the picture of the chore, moved from the Cinderella as a maid...to Cinderella as a princess!!! she loves it!!! everyone is happy!!
in further news i want to start making hair bows..this is a give away i entered..dont mind the shameless plug
