37 Weeks Today

37 Weeks Today!

Thats right..full term! yay! Getting so close to holding my sweet boy. This pregnancy has flown by in some ways, and in some ways not so much :0) Having 3 littles to take care of does help take my mind off of "how much longer" but now we are so close to holding Asher its ok to dwell on it..and panic! lol, i feel so behind. I had pneumonia and a middle ear infection this past week that knocked me off my feet. I am still recovering, but getting there, and so i feel my nesting is the most behind its ever been! I am trying so hard to not let it bother me, but it just is so hard to see my house messy and know Asher can arrive at any minute..but i promised my self not to be to crazy and to pace myself slowly. I am very thankful my my sweet husband who took care of my kiddos so well.  He stepped up to the plate big time, and he is my hero for it *sigh* i gotta do something special just to thank him, because i know it wasn't easy..one day he took the kids to the playground once in the morning, once in the evening and the library and to the "pizza store" for lunch just to get them out of the house so i could be miserable in peace and quite! I was so smart when i married him...his mommy did a good job!

So i just had to jump back here and let you know i am still alive. And i will post some belly pics soon..if we are all up for it, we are hoping to make it to a park ..so if that ever happens i will post some. Hopefully this weekend! But i am 9 months pregnant and have 3 small kids, so dont hold me to it! lol

Baby's Hospital Bag/Diaper Bag List

I have created this post mostly for me, I lose this list every baby..so i am creating this list and then Pinteresting it..haha. Hopefully that means I will be able to find it again. Un like the 4 previous time's I have made it!

What I Pack in The Baby's Hospital Bag/Diaper Bag: *For a Nursing Mommy*

  1. Obviously you need a good size diaper bag
  2. Baby clothes for the hospital (i usually bring 2 outfits suitable for the season)
  3. Baby Hats (make sure they are cute..you will be taking lots of pics)
  4. Blankets
  5. Burp cloths
  6. Bibs
  7. Onsies
  8. Diapers
  9. Wipes
  10. Rash Cream, just a side note, i take off all of the safety seals so i am not fussing with those at the hospital
  11. Bottles
  12. Sterilized Nipples for bottles that are the correct "flow" hole...ideally you don't need bottles , but having a baby unexspectadlly end up in the NICU for a night, i always bring them now
  13. Pacifiers, sterilized and checked for any loose parts
  14. Disposable Breast Pads, i have had my milk come in a day post delivery and then 3 days post delivery, you never know when you need them...i use washable at home
  15. Freezer storage bags For Breast Milk
  16. Lanolin Nipple Cream, buy some trust me..i only need one bottle per kid until i don't need it any more but it helps so  much
  17. Breast Pump..this is a separate Bag
  18. Baby travel Package, Baby wash, lotion, and shampoo in travel sizes
  19. Plastic Baggies for soiled diapers, the dollar store sells them in the baby section, 75 for $1 and when you sweet child has a blow out in the car, you will thank me!
  20. Socks
  21. A&D Ointment..for a circ if your having a boy
  22. Hair Bands if your having a girl, gotta look pretty for those pics
  23. Nursing Cover, you have no privacy if you are in a hospital, i think the cleaning guys always time this just right ;)
  24. Take Home outfit, pack 2, one for cooler weather and one for warmer weather...I always have a favorite but have a back up just in case
Dont forget the Car Seat! I will have a post on what i pack for my hospital Bag soon too. But I am currently packing the diaper bag so this is pertinent. Hope that you find this interesting too :)

Asher's Diaper Bag is here!

If you know me, or even if you don't and are a reader..you probably know i love organization! Love. A while back i asked a friend of mine to sew me a diaper bag, she had sewn my sister one, and i wanted it..i had diaper bag envy, lol...i am such a mom! But being that i will have 2 in diapers and 1 in pull ups i need it a little bigger. She so graciously agreed to attempt to up size the bag for me, and i could pick my own fabric :) I was so excited!! I was hoping i i could find something Vera Wangish..but not totally boy (i had to carry it, and i wanted it to be some what feminine) Well it came!! And i love it..although it is much bigger than the pictures portray. It Holds it shape so well, even though there is nothing in it yet. And by yet i mean..i can officially pack Ashers hospital bag now! I will be compiling the contents for it over the next couple weeks and should be all set for that soon! So excited! Can Ya tell?

interested in a diaper bag?Contact me and i will hook you up with Sarah, she is super sweet and a joy to work with! Now i am off to nest! Hehe

Why Hello there 3rd trimester!

Can you believe it?! I have arrived at the third trimester!! Whoo Hoo! 28 weeks!

Excuse the poor picture quality, Julia and i  took these this morning, in between waiting for the toast to pop up from the toaster..between me and her and the self timer of the camera we were able to sorta catch something in focus ;) I will not be showing you the out takes, they were horribly unflattering! This is what baby center says about 28 weeks gestation

Click here to follow link to baby center

If for some reason you cant follow said link, Basically the baby is 2 and a 1/4 lbs and 14.5 inches long...and i am in the home stretch! Whoo Hoo! (oops already said that ;))

This pregnancy is going fairly well, challenges have been trying to schedule appointments in buffalo and keep Elijahs therapy going. I will start going to the doctor every other week and i am hoping this wont become to much of an issue! The pain so far from my cercloge stitch has been the worst pain of all 4 pregnancy's, but i think that must have to do with having 4 cercloges and the scar tissue is pretty built up. I have an scheduled routine ultra sound next week and am looking forward to hearing that is indeed the case, and my cervix isn't trying to pull anything funny. Which i am sure it isn't, but i am a worry wart, so this ultra sound is perfect timing! Speaking of which, My best friend is coming out next week super early with some of her kiddos to baby sit a good chunk of the day so Kris can actually be at my appointment and the ultra sound, i love her for this since Kris hasn't been to anything in months and months! I have the best-est bestie, she lives like an hour away too..i am gonna totally owe her! If you are unaware of what a cercloge is hop over to this link (but if your a guy it may embarrass you)

Web Mds version of a Incompetent Cervix

It sounds pretty nasty, but i know nothing else..so this is status quot to me :) I never lost a baby as most woman do, but with julia's pregnancy i was 4 cmm dilated at 19 weeks pregnant and only given a 1% chance survival rate. But my God is bigger and had a plan, and i a carried Julia to term at 36 weeks and had a very healthy baby. My own miracle!

Mr Asher has been doing really well. He is a bee bopping around in mommy...daddy has yet to feel a hard kick, because every time he puts his hands on my tummy the baby settles down...lol...its a pain now but all my baby's did that and they all loved to be held by daddy and sleep on him out side the womb. We will keep trying though! Julia was the first one to feel Asher move and she is a lil obsessed with my belly. This pregnancy has been the one i have been the most nauseous, car rides are hard, and if i don't get enough sleep at night (which is my biggest trigger) i am for sure going to have an appointment with the toilet the next day. But really its been pretty decent pregnancy! I am enjoying getting ready for Asher, buying him some clothes and accessories and sewing for him. Being my 3rd boy he has pretty much every thing. We may buy him a cradle, not sure about that yet. All in all i cant complain, God has blessed us..all is going well and i only have a short amount of time left before i get to hold my sweet boy!

Getting All Nesty

This Week Elijah had off of therapy and i did light duty of schooling with miss Julia, maybe about half a work load. I thought i would take advantage and do some crafty stuff, sense i typically don't have much time for that, darn pintriest! gave me so many ideas..lol..here are some of my completed ones, i have some new stuff on deck i want to do, but more organizational stuff...

Knit hat and blanket set..do this..its so satisfying and pretty easy, just get a thicker knit..this was thin and a bit of a pain to work with seeing i don't have special needles or a serger..the blanket is double thickness...and i love the style of the hat! This is for Mr Asher

Who needs props when you have a clear plastic cup? Haha!

Menu board, i will add the meal tabs as i go, and as i make them...that will be allot of work and i frankly dont have the time for it, so i will do that as i go :) Its nice for Kris to see the meals coming up and he gets all excited..i see the work, he sees the food ;) figures!

My kitchen and some of the decor..so you get the idea

Another Knit blanket and hat set i made, again blanket double sided,  a different style of hat..fun project!

Pacifier Case, holds 2 of them..or as my kids call them,  nigh nights (night nights).. Julia made that up as a baby and it stuck) Lined in vinyl

I have a friend custom making a diaper bag for me right now, that has this matching fabric (see i don't do everything)  i will post pics of that when i have it and its done but this is the finished product closed.

I had a fun week crafting! I will post pics of the kids crafts we did soon.....
